Key takeaways

Eco-Emotions are defined as the range of emotions experienced by people as a result of the state of the natural environment and their interactions with it.

Eco-Emotions can be inherently positive, for example having a love or excitement for the natural world, creatures that live in it or the seasons it brings.

However, Eco-Emotions have begun to develop into more harmful emotions that people and children are struggling to deal with, such as eco-despair and eco-anxiety.

These Eco-Emotions are on the increase as s a result of people feeling they cannot do anything to help the environment during this climate crisis.
